As the first blooming tea brand in Singapore, Pétale Tea introduced a different way of experiencing tea. But over time, we began to ask ourselves a deeper question.

At the heart of Pétale Tea is our founder, Rosemary Kwa—whose journey with tea began long before the brand itself was created.

Her story is one shaped by curiosity, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the quiet details. Beginning her career in a tea room, Rosemary spent over a decade learning the intricacies of tea—understanding the delicacy of leaves, the balance of flavors, and the beauty of flowers as they come to life in water. Tea, to her, was never just a drink. It was an experience—one that engages the senses and creates space for reflection.

Beyond tea, Rosemary has always been inspired by travel. From a young age, she explored different parts of the world, immersing herself in cultures, landscapes, and the stories they carry. Each place left an imprint—not just in memory, but in feeling. The stillness of a bamboo forest, the rhythm of terraced fields, the vibrancy of heritage districts—these moments became more than destinations. They became stories waiting to be told.

And somewhere between her years in tea and her journeys across the world, an idea began to take shape.

The Birth of the Storytelling Tea Series

Last year, Pétale Tea introduced a concept that transformed how tea could be experienced.

Not just as a beverage, but as a story.

Each tin in our Storytelling Tea Series was carefully crafted to hold more than just ingredients. Inside every blend is a narrative—centered on a protagonist, a place, and a moment. From the tranquil paths of a bamboo forest in Kyoto, to the lush landscapes of Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud, to the rich cultural heritage of Kampong Glam, each tea becomes a gateway to a different story.
